South Asian Men’s group
Wavlink and IndianCare invite South Asian men to join a relaxed group program in Glen Waverley. Get hands on in the garden and woodworking shed, cook and share food together, and explore Melbourne with a great group of blokes. Saturdays, 3 October to 19 December 2026, 9.30am to 12pm. Program is funded for men under 65. Register your interest on (03) 9561 7104 or info@wavlink.org.au
Sessions include:
- Woodworking and gardening: hands-on sessions in Wavlink’s own shed and garden, building and finishing practical timber projects. All skill levels welcome, no experience needed.
- Cooking together: shared cooking sessions celebrating familiar dishes from home, with conversation about food, family and culture around the bench.
- Socialising and connection: relaxed opportunities to share stories and build genuine friendships.
- Out and about in Melbourne: supported local outings, with transport arranged from Wavlink.
- Supports and services: guest speaker sessions on men’s health and wellbeing, NDIS, and Monash-area community services.
All activities are optional, participants are welcome to simply enjoy afternoon tea and conversation. Cultural and dietary needs are catered for. Some participants may be eligible for HACC PYP funding; others attend as fee for service. Speak to us about your eligibility.
