Wavlink is committed to the safety, dignity and wellbeing of everyone who takes part in our programs.
Screening Checks
All staff, volunteers, tutors and Board members hold a current NDIS Worker Screening clearance before working with participants, which includes a national police check as well as a current Working with Children Check.
Policies and Safety
Our programs are guided by a full suite of policies covering safeguarding, feedback and complaints, privacy, incident management and behaviour support, all approved by our Board of Management. You or your advocate are welcome to ask about any of our policies, or to see evidence of a worker’s screening, at any time.
Participant Handbook
Our Participant Handbook explains what to expect when you join Wavlink, including your rights and how to give feedback. It’s available in three formats:
- Participant Handbook – our full handbook, suited to participants and family members who’d like all the detail.
- Participant Handbook – Simple English – a shorter version using plain, clear language, suited to participants who prefer simpler wording.
- Participant Handbook – Easy English – uses pictures, large text and short sentences, suited to participants who benefit from a highly visual, easy to follow format.
