Volunteers
Wavlink is a volunteer based organization. Our ongoing success is due in great measure to the generosity and commitment of these invaluable members of our centre.
Wavlink volunteers provide our community with the essential support, expertise and compassion that enables us to actively work towards equality, dignity and freedom for our members.
Volunteers offer support in almost all areas of operations including teaching, tutoring and mentoring, gardening and maintenance, fundraising, event organization and advocacy and networking.
Volunteers at Wavlink are a wonderfully diverse group of people. In fact, the diversity of our volunteers is one of the key ingredients that makes Wavlink such a welcoming and inspiring place to be.
Our volunteers come from all backgrounds, are of all ages and include parents and family, friends, staff, school and university students, health and business professionals, retirees and tradespeople.
Our volunteers join us for a variety of reasons and all find immense personal satisfaction in the act of giving, in developing a deeper understanding of others and in enhancing communication and leadership skills.
If there is one thing that all our volunteers share it is a belief in the value of making a difference in the lives of people with disabilities.
If you share our passion for helping others and would like to contribute Wavlink please come and join our community by click here to download and complete the Volunteer Application Form or call us on 03 9561 7104 to speak to a staff member.
